Zulu Lulus Seahorse (Hippocampus Capensis)
My interest in seahorses began shortly after I began keeping marine aquariums. I’m thinking of getting two seahorses and putting them in a species tank that’s 10 gallons or so. Among sea horses, which ones need the least upkeep? Is there any that I could start with? All captive-bred seahorses are resilient, disease-resistant, and simple to maintain compared to their wild-caught counterparts; however, the Pixie, Zulu-lulu, and Mustang varieties may be the best choices for novice keepers. Whether you prefer small, medium, or large seahorses, whether you want to focus on breeding and raising babies or just maintaining healthy, happy adults, and whether you mind hatching a lot of brine shrimp every day or would rather keep seahorses that are trained to eat frozen foods as their everyday diet all factor into your decision.
